Hi!

My name is Liz and I’m the owner of Once upon a Dream. As a little girl, I always loved to get dressed up and create my own little imaginary worlds. Now, as a Mum, I have come to realise the importance of role play in children’s development. With this in mind, I wanted to combine my love of creative play and encouragement of imagination to be able to offer a more personalised, fun alternative to such an important stage of every child's development.

Naturally, my children have developed the same love of dressing up as I had. Isla even has a full clothes rail dedicated to her favourite costumes! Expert advice from Owen and Isla helped me pick the costumes and themes we would stock. They were instrumental in offering me a ‘Childs-eye-view’ on their favourite styles and even revelled in modelling the costumes for me!! Rest assured, every single outfit is 100% child approved.

How are we different? We believe that a beautifully wrapped and presented gift makes the excitement of receiving it all that more special which is why at Once upon a Dream we pride ourselves on the presentation and personalisation of each and every order. Using a little inside information provided before purchase, allows us to personalise each box with a Childs name and an individually addressed letter, specifically from the chosen character. A couple of little treats are also included inside the box making ripping open that tissue paper even more exciting!
